- Date Sheet
Silicon Carbide is also know as Carborundum, produced by reacting silica with coke at temperature more than 2000°C. Black Silicon Carbide has outstanding electrical and heat conductivity, high hardness level, and small expansion coefficient. With these characteristics, black silicon carbide is widely used for wafer and quartz chip wire sawing and lapping, making bonded and coated abrasive tools, stone polishing, processing metal and non-ferrous. Black Silicon Carbide is also broadly used as refractory material and metallurgical additive.
